The Minds of Modern Mathematics is an interactive timeline for the iPad. It replicates the famous Charles and Ray Eames timeline from the 1960's (developed on behalf of IBM)....updated for today. It is a great example of driving broad social engagement through meaningful, relevant content.
In the app, you are invited to explore the history of mathematics through images, stories and video segments all derived from the original Charles and Ray Eames project. Features include an interactive version of the timeline, the original timeline, ‘century’ and ‘millennium’ views, and a set of nine Eames films produced for IBM, including the IBM Mathematics Peep Show.
